Understand what the role of a leader entails

  1. Choreographing the dance
  2. Navigating the dance floor

Understand how followers follow

  1. They match moves in their dance repertoire to signals
  2. They mimic how someone else moves
  3. They are moved into positions
  4. They follow a choreography

Use risk mitigiation strategies whenever there's room for failure

  1. (A) Avoid doing excessive movements that could be misconstrued as signals
  2. (A) Avoid hesistating
  3. (A) Send clearer signals
  4. (A) Avoid sending lots of signals within moments of one another. Break up sequences (series of moves) into their elements and have a reset to basic step between each of these elements unless / until the follower is comfortable with larger chunks of it
  5. (B) Know how to do the moves on one's own
  6. (C) Understand what holds provide more control over someone's movement
  7. (D) Dance with followers that have more dance experience
  8. (D) Lead moves that followers have exposure to
